Dimitrios P. Baltogiannis MD MHBA
Specialization in Gynecologic Oncology and the surgery of complex gynecological conditions
Mr. Baltogiannis is Director of the private Epicurus Obstetrics & Gynecological Surgery clinic and Deputy Director of the 1st Gynecologic Oncology Clinic at Hygeia Hospital. He completed his entire specialty training in Germany and worked for 10 years at the Obstetrics-Gynecology Clinic of Aschaffenburg Hospital, University of Würzburg.
Full Biography
Founder and director of the private Epicurus Obstetrics & Gynecological Surgery clinic, a modern center for Obstetrics, Gynecological Surgery and Breast Surgery. The clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is a reference point for the laparoscopic surgery of gynecological conditions.
Deputy Director of the 1st Gynecologic Oncology Clinic at Hygeia Hospital. Together with a multidisciplinary team of anesthesiologists, medical oncologists, general surgeons, radiotherapists and psychologists, the clinic offers personalized, patient-centered care covering the full spectrum of gynecological cancers.
He is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Athens (NKUA) and holds the specialty title in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Bavarian Medical Association in Munich. He also holds a Master in Healthcare Business Administration (MHBA) from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
He completed his entire specialty training in Germany, at the University Obstetrics & Gynecology Clinic of Aschaffenburg Hospital, University of Würzburg. From 2010 to 2019 he worked there, initially as a resident and later as a senior consultant (Oberarzt) in the team of Professor Dr. A. T. Teichmann.
During this career he specialized in gynecologic oncology, operating on a large number of complex oncological cases, while pioneering the application of modern technologies, such as sentinel lymph node detection with ICG mapping in endometrial and cervical cancer.
With his team he participated in international clinical studies that contributed to the establishment of modern therapies in gynecologic oncology, such as monoclonal antibodies and PARP inhibitors. These treatments have significantly improved the survival of patients with ovarian and cervical cancer.
He specialized in laparoscopic surgery at the MIC Zentrum of the University Hospital of Giessen in Germany and in robotic surgery at the STAN Institute of the University Hospital of the Université de Lorraine in France.
He is a regular speaker at conferences on innovative treatments in gynecological surgery and gynecologic oncology, and has published papers on the treatment of rare oncological cases in collaboration with university clinics.

The systematic hands-on training through her degree prepared her for the demands of midwifery. It also strengthened her passion for the care and support of women throughout their pregnancy.

She works with Mr. Baltogiannis at his office in Neo Psychiko, Athens, and at the MITERA and Hygeia hospitals.
